How to Book Online

Online booking is available at https://booking.nsmi.ca.

Please have your Personal Health Number (Care Card) and requisition saved as a PDF before you request a booking.

Patients with an existing NSMI patient file with an email address, click on Register.

For patients who are new to NSMI or have an existing patient file without an email address, click on Request Appointment.

Examinations are NOT available for online booking at this time.
All Obstetrical, Nuchal Translucency, Breast (Mammograms and Ultrasound), Fibroscans and Bone Density examinations are NOT eligible for booking on the portal. Please request an appointment, register or login to your account, and upload your requisition. NSMI staff will review the request and email you with an appointment based on your booking preferences. If you need to rebook, please call the clinic.

The appointments shown on the portal are updated regularly and you will not get a sooner appointment by calling the clinic. We recommend you check the portal to see if there is a sooner date.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

You can reschedule or cancel an appointment via your account. Please be advised that our cancellation policy applies to appointments made via phone or the portal. Appointments rescheduled or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a $75 fee. Payment is required prior to any further bookings. Monday appointments require notice no later than 4 pm the previous Friday.

Urgent Examinations

If your appointment is Urgent your Physician would have indicated it on the requisition. Please request an appointment or create/log into your account, upload your requisition and then call the clinic. NSMI staff will book the appointment for you.

Unable to Create an Account

If you are unable to make an account via the portal, please contact our office and we can assist you in booking an appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I reset my password?

A: Please go to the portal, click on “Log in” and then “Forgot your password” and follow the instructions. Please do not call the clinic as we can not reset your password.

Q: How long will it take for me to get an email to allow me to book?

A: Our staff will be reviewing portal requests Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. If you are making an appointment outside of business hours we will endeavor to approve your request as soon as possible on the following business day.

Q: Why can’t I book certain examinations on the portal?

A: Some examinations, such as Obstetrical scans are to be booked at specific times or we may need to contact you to request further information to complete the booking.

Q: Why can’t I reschedule my appointment?

A: You may be trying to reschedule an appointment that requires the examination to be completed in a specific time frame or after a certain date. Please contact our office and we can help you reschedule the appointment.

Q: How long is my requisition valid for?

A: Your requisition is valid for 1 year. If your requisition is about to expire or has expired, please contact your doctor’s office as they will need to issue a new one.

Q: Is the online booking program available as an app?

A: The portal is available only through the following link. https://booking.nsmi.ca
